About Us

We are activists who have been organizing and fighting for environmental and climate justice for over twenty years.

We are an independent, radical, horizontal, feminist environmental organization. We investigate the root causes of environmental crises, hold those responsible accountable, defend human rights, develop tools for local communities, and provide training and accessible knowledge.

Our independence is our strength.

Our values

Independence

We are an organization that acts free from external influence or pressure from actors whose interests could compromise our mission and goals. We maintain our autonomy to ensure the greatest possible effectiveness in our actions and strategies.

Courage

We act with courage and determination, confronting the challenges we face and pushing for radical change in society. We are ready to take uncomfortable positions and fight for the rights of people, communities, and ecosystems.

Intersectionality

We embrace an ecofeminist perspective, working to integrate transfeminism and environmentalism as necessary and interdependent approaches. In our vision, everything is connected: decolonialism, anti-patriarchy, antifascism and anti-racism, the recognition of the world’s diversity, and collective responsibility for sustaining life.

Community

We are a community that shares values and fights for common goals. We are committed to building relationships of solidarity and sisterhood among ourselves — supporting each other in difficult times and celebrating our victories together. We also build relationships of solidarity with the communities we work with, standing together in the struggle for environmental and climate justice.

Radical Inclusion

We promote inclusivity by valuing diversity and collaboration. We actively welcome people of all gender identities, backgrounds, sexual orientations, religions, and abilities. We are committed to creating safe and welcoming spaces where every voice can be heard and valued.

Our Areas of Action

Climate Justice

Climate change has deep impacts on inequalities and rights. Working for climate justice means building campaigns, projects, and tools to demand a social and economic model that is truly just, equitable, and sustainable.

Citizen Science

Access to information about the quality of the environment we live in is a precondition for informed citizenship. This is why we use and promote citizen science as a tool to build knowledge and empower communities.

Environmental Conflicts

Environmental conflicts expose the unsustainability of a model that exploits resources intensively and imposes decisions in violation of the right to participation. We support local communities defending their rights and territories.

Ecological Education

Knowledge and awareness begin with education. Working with young people and students, as well as educators and trainers, is essential to strengthen the capacity of new generations to become agents of change.

Community & Solidarity

Communities are where relationships of proximity and solidarity are built. We work with neighborhood groups, associations, schools, and residents to promote processes of urban and social regeneration. With one goal: to build community.

Circular Economy

We need a new economic system: to overturn the current paradigm and design models with low environmental impact and high social value. This is прежде a cultural challenge, which we address through an online magazine, as well as training, events, and campaigns.

Sustainable Culture

A Sud, CDCA and EconomiaCircolare.com run a program aimed at inspiring and building real creative climate leadership within the cultural sector. The goal is to support and train cultural workers to take action against the climate and environmental crisis.
